Availity is offering its 350,000 medical provider customers a portable, customizable training program to help physician office staff prepare for massive industrywide changes in medical coding and reimbursement expected next year with ICD-10.

Converting to the new ICD-10 code set will affect every corner of a medical office’s operations, yet many of the businesses required to make the transition on Oct. 1 are using software that leaves them unprepared – and vulnerable to billing and reimbursement disruptions.

Health information network Availity has named Nate Eastman as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective March 10, 2014. Eastman brings more than 16 years of experience in financial leadership, and has a history of excellence as a strategic business partner in high growth, complex business environments.
