Availity Essentials™ (Essentials) is the secure provider portal for Oscar Health. This website is for Oscar providers to learn about how to get started with Essentials begin utilizing the latest time-saving tools. Here are some of the tools and features available in Essentials for Oscar providers:

What is Changing?

Starting June 15, 2026, Oscar Health will offer electronic authorization submission and management through Availity Essentials™.

You will be able to submit and manage inpatient and outpatient authorization requests using the same digital workflow you already use for other participating health plans.

No more faxing, mailing, or calling.
Just log in and go.

Set up your organization today to manage Oscar Health authorizations.

Follow the path below that matches your role:

1. Identify Your Organization’s Administrator

Before registering, you must designate an Administrator. This individual must have the legal authority to sign agreements for your organization and will be responsible for:

  • Registering the organization.
  • Setting up user accounts.
  • Managing staff access levels.
2. Choose Your Action Path
I am the Designated Administrator

Action: Click the Register with Availity button below to register your organization. By submitting, you agree to act as the Administrator for your office.

I am NOT the Administrator

Action: Do not register. Creating a duplicate registration for your organization could cause authorization delays.

  • Next Step: Your designated Administrator will determine your access level and create your user account directly within the platform.

What is Availity Essentials?

Availity Essentials is an online, multi-payer portal that gives providers, hospitals, and other healthcare professionals access to multiple payer information with your own secure user ID and password. 

Healthcare professionals have free access to real-time information and instant responses in a consistent format regardless of the payer. Availity is compliant with all HIPAA regulations, and there is no cost for providers to register or use any of the online tools. 

Why is Oscar Health partnering with Availity?

Availity Essentials provides a singular provider experience for the authorization and referral process for Oscar Health. ​Oscar Health is partnering with Availity to make transactions easier and simpler and reduce administrative burden. 

When does this change take effect?

Oscar Health authorizations will be available in Availity Essentials starting June 15, 2026.

Is this required to submit Oscar Health authorizations?

Starting June 15, electronic submission through Availity Essentials will be the primary way to submit and manage Oscar Health authorizations. Using the digital workflow helps avoid delays and reduces follow‑up.

Are authorization requirements changing?

No. Oscar Health authorization requirements, coverage rules, and clinical criteria remain the same. Only the submission and tracking method is changing.

Does Availity offer additional resources or training for new users?

Yes, reference the New User Guide for step-by-step instructions. 

Availity also provides many training resources for new users to help you work with Oscar Health on Availity Essentials. After logging into Availity Essentials, select Help & Training > Get Trained to access live and recorded webinars. 

Another resource is the Get Started Guide from Oscar Health to Availity Essentials to learn where to find the tools you need on Essentials and which roles are needed to view these functions.

  1. Log in to Availity Essentials.
  2. Click Help & Training > Find Help > Payer Tools > Oscar Health > Get Started Guide from [LEGACY PORTAL] to Availity Essentials>. The Get Started Guide displays in a table format to help you quickly locate the services and features you need to access.

How do I register as an organization administrator?

If you are the administrator for your organization, you first need to register a user account. Go to www.availity.com and select Portal Login in the upper-right corner of the page. Select Create Account. For registration training, refer to Availity’s provider registration training site
