NPI - Are you Ready?
The National Provider Identifier (NPI) is a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standard. The NPI will replace all other provider plan IDs and must be used in lieu of legacy provider identifiers in the HIPAA standard transactions.
