Administrative Director for Hospitalists, St. Vincent's Health System
Benjamin Baeker has more than 20 years’ experience in the health care industry, which includes a variety of roles in both private practice and in academic, non-profit, and for-profit health systems. He also served for five years in physician practice management, including multi-specialty, primary care, and hospital-based medicine.
Ben has deep expertise in marketing and business development, supply chain management, financial analysis, and payer relationship management. He earned an MBA from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida and a BA from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky.
David G. Carmichael
Executive Administrator, Birmingham Obstetrics Gynecology, P.C.
As the Executive Administrator for Birmingham Obstetrics Gynecology, David G. Carmichael is responsible for the day-to-day operations and financial management of nine provider practices. Previously, he served as Vice President of Operations at MedSym Solutions, Inc., a physician services company focused on oncology. There, he managed the outsourced billing, electronic medical records, and consulting divisions of the company.
Prior to these positions, David spent seven years at MedManagement, LLC, a physician practice management company. In his last role, as director of client implementation, he was responsible for the training and implementation of the QualityConnectMD practice management software.
Having been part of more than 100 physician practice software implementations throughout his career, David has valuable insight into the training needs of physician practices. He graduated with a BS in Health Administration from Auburn University. David is a member of the Alabama chapter of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA).
Catherine T. Holloway
Director Physician Integration, Baptist ENT Specialists
Catherine T. Holloway is the Director for Physician Integration at Baptist Health where she manages revenue cycle and operations for Baptist ENT specialists located at the Baptist South and Downtown campus, as well as Fleming Island and Riverside.
In addition to her current role, Catherine has held several leadership positions at Baptist Health, including center manager for Solantic Urgent Care and practice manager for two primary care offices. She also oversaw operations of the Occupational Health and Workers’ Compensation division. Catherine began her health care career as a credentialing specialist at Mayo Clinic Florida.
Catherine received her BS from the University of North Florida and an MBA/MS from Grand Canyon University. She worked in retail management for more than 10 years before transitioning to a career in health care.
An active member of the health care community, Catherine has served on the Baptist United Way Campaign as a cabinet committee member since 2013. She was nominated to Baptist Health’s Strategic Leadership Program and is currently the only team member from the outpatient setting. She has been a member of Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) since 2008 and has held a board executive position since 2013. In 2015, she served as chapter president for the Northeast Florida MGMA chapter.
Practice Administrator, Borland Groover Clinic
Vicki King is a Certified Medical Practice Executive with 28 years of health care and medical practice management experience. She currently works as a practice administrator for The Borland-Groover Clinic (BGC), a 72-bed single specialty physician group based in Jacksonville, Florida. The practice has 32 locations along the east coast of Florida, six endoscopy centers, and over 600 employees.
In her role as practice administrator, Vicki oversees strategic initiatives across the organization. She has also served in various management capacities within the medical community. She recently served on the American Gastroenterology Association’s Digestive Health Registry design task force and has a special interest in leadership development and risk management.
Vicki also provides consulting and management services and is a national society presenter.
Director of Client Relations, Onsite Mammography, LLC
Judi Lento is the Director of Client Relations for ONsite Mammography and an independent health care consultant and speaker. She covers a wide range of topics, including reimbursement, office-based procedures, practice contracting, and technology adoption. Her clients include Bayer Pharmaceutical RFM, Conceptus, Florida Blue, Thomson Reuter, and Availity.
Judi has a deep background in the health care industry and has worked as an OBGYN practice administrator in private and hospital-based practices for more than 17 years. She is one of the first administrators in Jacksonville to successfully contract and offer office-based NovaSure and Essure®, and InterStim® (for urinary incontinence).
Judi is a past president of the Florida Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) and past president of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Assembly (OBGA) for the national MGMA. She was awarded “Best Medical Practice Administrator” of the North Florida Region by the Florida Business Journal in May of 2004.
Payer Compliance Liaison, KPC Healthcare/IHHIOC
Estela Martinez is the Payer Compliance Liaison for WMC-CBO where she is responsible for overseeing four OC facilities.
Prior to this role, Estela worked as a denials analyst, helping case managers reduce denials with the different payers. She began her career in the health care industry working as a loan officer/manager for a loan program established by Tenet. She traveled throughout the U.S. training and educating staff on the loan program and its benefits.
Chief Operating Officer, Colorado Allergy & Asthma Centers, P.C.
John Milewski is a health care executive with over twenty-five years’ experience in program management, marketing, regulatory compliance, research, organizational skills, and customer service. Currently, he serves as Chief Operating Officer for Colorado Allergy & Asthma Centers, P.C. headquartered in Denver, Colorado.
John oversees 10 clinics with 13 physicians, serving over 48,000 patients in metro Denver, Fort Collins and Greeley, Colorado. He has a diverse health care background working in hospitals, nursing home, retirement homes, and practice management.
Executive Director, Midwest Center for Women's Healthcare
Heidi Spears is the Executive Director for Midwest Center for Women’s Healthcare, the largest private practice OB/GYN physicians group in Illinois, with nearly 60 providers and 20 office locations in suburban Chicago.
Prior to joining Midwest Center for Women’s Healthcare in 2007, Heidi served as a senior physician practice management executive with large healthcare organizations such as the University of Chicago Physicians Group, Maine Medical Center, and New England Rehabilitation Hospital. She is a member of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), and the US Women’s Healthcare Alliance.
Heidi holds a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Cornell University and is a Certified Medical Practice Executive with the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE).
