New tools to automate your workflow!

Peach State Health Plan and Availity have teamed up to make it easy for you to work with us online. We’re offering new functionality on the Availity Provider Portal to automate manual processes and streamline your workflow. 

  • Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT)
    Providers can use EPSDT to notify Peach State quickly if Medicaid members under 21 years of age have missed an appointment associated with one or more EPSDT measures. 
  • Notification of Pregnancy (NOP) form
    Providers can use the NOP form to pinpoint risk factors in the earliest stages of pregnancy and notify Peach State. Provider offices are eligible for up to $600 a year in reimbursement incentives for submitting NOP forms.

Q: What is the Availity Provider Portal?
A: The Availity Provider Portal is a multi-payer site where you can use a single user ID and password to work with Peach State and other participating payers online. Availity is compliant with all HIPAA regulations, and there is no cost to register or use any of the online tools.

Q: What is Peach State’s relationship with Availity?
A: Availity was formed in Jacksonville, Florida, as a joint venture between Florida Blue (formerly Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida) and four other payers in an effort to improve efficiency and reduce administrative complexity in the healthcare industry, with the ultimate goal of improving health care outcomes. Peach State collaborates with Availity to develop and improve online tools for healthcare providers. Q: Why does Peach State want me to use the Availity Provider Portal?
A: Peach State Health Plan and Availity are working to streamline health care processes wherever possible. By using the multi-payer Availity Provider Portal, you can access information and transactions from Peach State and other payers on one website, with only one login and one password to remember.

Q: Why does Peach State want me to use EPSDT to notify them of a missed appointment?
A: The EPSDT feature notifies Peach State quickly of missed appointments. This allows them to reach back out to the member to reschedule the appointment or direct the member to another care setting.

Q: Why does Peach State want me to fill out an NOP form?
A: The electronic NOP form on the Availity Provider Portal streamlines the previous process, providing faster care management intervention with a better outcome for the patient. 

Q: I use the Peach State Health Plan Portal today. Is it going away?
A: No, both the Peach State and Availity Provider Portals are available for provider needs. However, EPSDT and the new NOP form will only be available on the Availity Provider Portal.

Q: What should I do if my organization is not registered to use the Availity Provider Portal?
A: Go to www.availity.com and click REGISTER to begin the registration process. Before starting the process, make sure you have handy basic information about your practice, including your federal tax ID and NPI.

Important: By submitting the registration you agree to be one of the administrators for your organization, and you attest that you have authority to enter into agreements for your organization. 

After you complete the registration, Availity will send you an email that includes the user name you created, temporary password, and instructions for next steps. You may then begin registering other users for your organization.

Q: What support and training materials are available to help me register?
A: There are a couple of options. You can either refer to this registration overview PDF, or for more details review this recorded registration demo.

Q: As an administrator, how do I register additional users in my organization?
A: In the Availity Provider Portal, click Help & Training | Find Help and navigate to the Add User topic under Administrator. This help topic explains how to add one user at a time or upload multiple users from a spreadsheet. 

Q: Who do I contact if I need additional help registering or have questions about my organization’s Availity account?
A: You can call Availity Client Services at 1-800-AVAILITY (282-4548). Assistance is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern time (excluding holidays).

Q: What do I do if I get locked out of my Availity account?

Availity offers live and on-demand training via the Availity Learning Center (ALC). Log in to the Availity Provider Portal and click Help & Training | Get Trained. There you will find in-depth product training as well as continuing education via national industry experts.
