Working with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming online?

Make the switch to Availity!

Availity is becoming Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming’s (BCBSWY) preferred method for health care providers to manage claims and remittances and complete other secure administrative tasks online.

Availity offers secure online access to multiple health plans and the ability to submit and manage your claims and other electronic transactions using real-time data entry or batch submissions.

One user ID and password is the key to information from multiple payers.
Availity is a multi-payer site where you can use a singleuser ID and password to work with BCBSWY and other health plans online.

Availity is compliant with all HIPAA regulations, and there is no cost for providers to register or use any of the online tools.

Have questions regarding the Availity capabilities for BCBSWY? Please call Availity at 1-800-282-4548.

Q: Why did BCBSWY ask me to register or get set up to use Availity?
A: To reduce paperwork and unnecessary phone calls, BCBSWY is moving many of their current services on THOR and Electronic Data Interchange Support Services (EDISS), so we are assisting providers as they register to use the Availity services. We recommend that you begin using Availity for all your BCBSWY transactions to see its advantages for yourself and other users in your organization.

Q: Why does BCBSWY want me to use Availity?
A: BCBSWY is working to streamline health care processes wherever possible and make it easier to work online. They have selected Availity as its preferred provider portal to help providers access secure information and submit transactions online. By using Availity, you can access information and transactions from BCBSWY and other health plans on one website, using a single user ID and password.

Q: What new tools and features will be available on the Availity Portal?
A: You’ll have the same options you had before but only now it will be easier to access and use. You’ll still be able to look up finalized claim status and view remittance advice among other items, and more features will be coming later.

To see what’s moving from BCBSWY’s THOR to the Availity web site, scroll down to the Where to find what you need on Availity section.
