Lauren S.

Manager, Customer Success

In celebration of Availity’s 25th anniversary, we’re highlighting associates whose impact and dedication have helped shape who we are today. Through this special Associate Spotlight series, we’re honoring the people behind our story—past, present, and future.

In this Q&A, we’re proud to spotlight Lauren S., who shares reflections on her journey, the moments that mattered most, and what continues to inspire her as part of Availity.

When you think about our Core Values, which one resonates the most with you and which do you think will propel us through the next 25 years?

Own the Outcome.

What are you most proud of from your time at Availity?

Honestly, the work that we were able to do for our Lifeline Provider customers in 2024. The way our Provider Teams all rallied together from Sales to Implementation to Support to Account Management. We stood up provider customers that were unable to process any transactions in days and weeks (something that usually takes us months to years), and we served as a dedicated team to ensure that they had the guidance and support they needed working with our products.

What are three words you’d use to describe Availity today?

Innovative. Mission-driven. Collaborative.

What’s one “tiny way” your team removes friction from healthcare that most people never see?

My team works directly with Availity’s largest Provider Customers. Every day we make sure that those customers are able to keep their claims moving through the healthcare network. Most of what we do is “unseen” but ultimately plays a crucial role in ensuring that some of the nation’s largest provider networks are able to keep operating.

When did you join Availity, what was your first role, and what do you remember most about your first year?

I joined in June of 2021. Availity was “top of my list” of companies I wanted to work for. I think outside of the people, the most impactful memory from the first year was how MUCH information there was to learn and absorb. That hasn’t changed!

What’s kept you here the longest?

Probably an equal split between the people that make up Availity and the work that Availity does. We sit in the perfect place to make a huge impact on the way that healthcare operates, and I am excited to continue to be a part of our future.

What’s one thing we used to do manually that our network/platform does seamlessly today?

Allow for auto-posting of remits! Anyone who has ever posted payments knows that we USED to do all of that manually. (It’s a real “we used to walk to school uphill both ways in the snow” conversation with anyone who does it now)

What do you appreciate most about your team right now?

Their ability to flow with changes. Our industry is constantly changing and doing so at a faster pace than ever.  They remain hungry to learn more about where we are going and what we are doing to get there.

Thank you, Lauren, for your dedication and the impact you’ve made in helping shape Availity’s story over the past 25 years!
