Online resource offers individual training for under $20 and volume discounts for large practices

- Medical: HIPAA as a patient safety issue, increased enforcement and penalties, areas of most common breaches, basic cyber hygiene, breach responses, Business Associate privacy risks, basic HIPAA for pediatric patients, information requests from friends and patient referrals to specialists.
- Mental health: Current firearm requirements, family communication for unstable and at-risk patients, law enforcement communication, and treatment for patients that cannot provide consent. Includes core content from the medical training.

The HHS Office for Civil Rights (OCS) requires security and privacy training for all who come in contact with protected health information (PHI) and conducts audits to ensure industry-wide compliance. Individuals and staff members who successfully complete the training and pass the assessment will receive a certificate of HIPAA training completion.
