Transitioning to value-based payments

According to a recent Availity research report, 61 percent of health plans say they currently participate in value-based payment models. Of those reporting, there was an average of four types of models, which was expected to grow to approximately 20 in the next few years.

But health plans and their provider partners expect challenges on this journey. The fee-for-value healthcare model relies heavily on accurate and timely exchange of data between health plans and providers, but outdated technology and inefficient processes are making this difficult.

Availity is helping health plans and their providers make the transition to value-based payment models. We make it faster and easier for health plans and providers to exchange data required for value-based reimbursement, including member health statuses and provider demographic updates.
